Hannah Craig became the first Irish Slalom kayaker to represent Ireland at the Olympics. Hannah along with her coach Han Bijnen (CANI Slalom Coach) have been working hard for the past 8 years to make Olympic selection and this time she secured her place. Hannah produced great times in the heats to make the Semi Final and progressed through to the final which exceeded her expectations. Hannah placed 10th overall which is a great result considering the other nations have a training course on their door step and Hannah has to travel to train and compete. Hannah will be competing in the World Cup series for the remainder of the summer across Europe so come September you will see Hannah training at her home venue Shaw’s Bridge. We are planning a welcome home event for Hannah so keep an eye on the website and facebook pages.
